Yes sometimes people experience muscle spasms when they have a tetanus shot and usually it's nothing to worry about.

Although if the muscle spasms continue for more than a day or two then see a doctor about it.

You could be having an allergic reaction to the tetanus shot.

Normally tetanus shots just cause pain in the arm for a few days to a few weeks and then it goes away.

Tetanus itself can also cause muscle spasms and can be deadly if not treated in time.

That's why it's important to keep up to date on your tetanus shots.

The time it takes for the side effects of a tetanus shot to go away can vary from person to person.

However most side effects after tetanus shots go away within a few days to a week or two.

The most common side effect of a tetanus shot injection is pain at the injection site or in the arm where the tetanus shot was given.

When I had a tetanus shot the pain lasted awhile but it did eventually go away.

Having some pain in your arm after you have a tetanus shot is normal and the arm will hurt for a few days to as long as 4 weeks in some cases.

After a few weeks though the pain should not be as bad and if it is or the pain gets worse then see a doctor about it.

The pain should not last longer than a month but sometimes people have reported that they had pain in their arm for as long as 3 months after the tetanus shot.

The last time I had a tetanus shot which was around 5 years ago now the pain in my arm lasted for 2 weeks before it went away.

So you might have the pain for a few weeks and then again you might have it longer.
