The type of grease that you can put on car battery terminals is White Lithium Grease.

The White Lithium Grease helps keeps corrosion off the battery terminals and allows the electricity to flow freely.

You can apply dielectric grease to the tops of the battery terminals after the battery connections are made because the dielectric grease can interfere with the electricity flow.

It's okay to put the dielectric grease on electrical connections after the electrical connections are made.

Only put the dielectric grease on top of the battery terminal after it's bolted to the battery and not before you make the connection.

You can also apply Vaseline to the cars battery terminals and it will allow the electricity to flow freely while keeping corrosion at bay.

Vaseline and Petroleum Jelly is good for and does help electrical connections.

The Vaseline or Petroleum Jelly helps the electrical connections by keeping moisture off the electrical connections which helps prevents corrosion on the electrical connections.

That corrosion on the electrical connections can cause the connections to not conduct the electricity properly and then cause electrical issues.

The corrosion can also cause the electrical connections to fail.

You can also put Vaseline on battery terminals which helps prevent corrosion and helps the connections stay in good condition.

Poor battery connections can prevent your vehicle from starting and prevent your battery from charging properly.

You can also use dielectric grease on the battery terminals or electrical connections to keep the connections in good shape but Vaseline also works well.
