When you have an inflamed liver the inflamed liver will usually have symptoms such as a dull throbbing sensation that occurs in your upper right abdomen.
Liver pain that occurs from an inflamed liver or just liver pain in general can feel like a bad stabbing pain that also can take your breath away.
With an inflamed liver you may also feel radiating pain in your back or in your right shoulder blade.

Or go to the emergency room or urgent care if the liver pain gets worse.
