People who do have advanced lung cancer usually do experience pain especially in the throat because of the lung cancer being progressed.

Dying of lung cancer is usually a slow painful death for most people who die of lung cancer.

If I had lung cancer and was not able to be cured of it I don't think I would want to linger on and would want to go in less pain.

A friend of mine had lung cancer and as she was dying she said before shed died that for the last few weeks prior to her death that the lung cancer was painful.

Some cases of lung cancer are curable if diagnosed soon enough and treated soon enough but some cases of lung cancer are not curable even with advanced medical treatments we have today.

People diagnosed with end stage lung cancer usually die within 1 to 3 years after diagnoses.

Most cases of lung cancer can treated and cured if the lung cancer is caught early enough.

The longer you wait for treatment of the lung cancer the less treatable the lung cancer becomes.

So it's important to see a doctor often and get tested for preventable and treatable diseases such as lung cancer.

To prevent lung cancer avoid smoking, inhaling smoke, avoid inhaling second hand smoke etc.

Keep the air in your home healthy by using an air purifier etc.

But if you do still get lung cancer and you get diagnosed soon enough then the lung cancer in it's early stages is almost always treatable and curable.

So just because you do get some lung cancer doesn't mean you'll always die from it.

There have been many people who have been diagnosed with lung cancer that survived it so yes it's possible to survive lung cancer.

But once the lung cancer progresses too far then it's usually not curable.
