It's not safe for a baby to sleep in your bed if the baby is under 12 months of age.

Sleeping with your baby in your bed when they are 12 months of age or under can cause death because of the potential to roll over onto the baby during your sleep.

Babies are so tiny that it would be very easy to crush the baby with your body weight and that has happened before.

So make sure the baby is sleeping in a bassinet or in a baby bed or crib until the baby is at least 12 months of age or older.

Then if you want too you can allow your baby to sleep in the bed with you.

I know it's hard to not sleep with your baby but it's for their safety.

Babies can easily die when sleeping with parents or on a softer bed especially from SIDS.

Babies 12 months of age and under should be sleeping by themselves in a crib on a firm crib mattress and without any pillows or blankets or plush toys that could cause suffocation.
