Yes it's OK and normal for puppies to bite people in a playful manner and it usually stops as the puppy grows into an adult dog.

When a puppy bites it only really becomes  a problem if the puppy starts being mean and then continues to bite people when it grows out of the puppy age.

But as long as the puppy is not biting too much and only biting in a playful manner then it's usually nothing to worry about.

But if it continues as the puppy grows up then you need to stop it and tell the puppy sternly that it's not good to bite.

If you have to spray a bottle of water in the puppies face when it begins to bite you or someone or show it a rolled up newspaper and give it a swat on the butt.

Spanking a puppy gently is not abuse and they know the difference between abuse and a spanking.

I have swatted puppies before to stop bad behavior and they still loved me afterwards.
