Yes it is possible for you to get hookworms from your dog licking you.

However it's a very low chance that you would get hookworms from your dog licking you.

Children who are licked by dogs have a higher chance of getting infected with hookworms or other parasites from dogs when the licked them.

But I've been licked by dogs when I was a kid and even as an adult and never have I gotten hookworms or any other parasites.

However dogs mouths do have some bacteria that can be transferred to the human so it's usually not a good thing for a dog to lick you anyway.

I stopped allowing my dog to lick me or my family just because of the possibility and he likes to eat his poop so that's another reason I stopped it.
