A properly installed and high quality radiant heating floor system should last as long as 35 years but may last up to 40 years.

That's a long time and by the time 35 years gets here after installing your heating floor system you may either be getting older, may move out of the home or want to redo the floor anyway.

So if you get 30 to 35 years of use out of a radiant floor heating system then that's a great lifespan for it.

Most furnaces only last 15 to 20 years so that makes the radiant floor heating last longer than a furnace.

Although radiant floor heating can heat a room slowly the furnace does an even better job and is cheaper to heat the home with.

The radiant floor heating is good though to keep the floors warm when you're walking on bare feet.
