The recommended dosage of melatonin that you should take per night to sleep is 5 mg.

You can safely take up to 10 mg of Melatonin per night but no more than that without your doctors advise.

When taking melatonin starting out with a smaller dose of melatonin will allow you to see how your body reacts and gauge if your body needs more or less.

If you need to take more than 10 mg of melatonin to help you sleep then speak with your doctor first to make sure it's safe for you.

Some people can take more than 10 mg of melatonin while some people may not be able to safely take that amount.

Our bodies do produce natural melatonin which is supposed to help us sleep at night but sometimes our bodies do not produce enough melatonin.

You can also try taking some over the counter sleeping pills if you're still having trouble sleeping.

Also avoid coffee or other caffeinated beverages or foods before bed at least a few hours before bed.
