When you're renting an apartment or home and your lease is up you can either renew your lease or move out at the end of the lease.

If you decide to move out then you usually have 30 days to move out of the place after your lease is up.

But if your lease is gonna end soon such as in 30 days then you should let your landlord know that you're either gonna move or you want to renew your lease agreement.

If you want to move out then let your landlord know and then begin getting your stuff ready to move out at the end of the month but the landlord will usually give you at least 20 to 30 days to move your stuff out of the apartment or home.

During that time the landlord can show your apartment or rental home to other tenants.
