The condition intussusception in toddlers is a serious and life threatening condition where the intestines fold up like a telescope.
When that happens due to the intussusception one segment of the intestines slips inside of the other segment of intestines.
When intussusception in toddlers occurs it can cause an intestinal blockage in the toddler which can be life threatening so the toddler will need surgery to fix the intussusception.
The condition intussusception in toddlers and children is rare but if it does happen the child or toddler needs medical attention or they can die.
