Lantana plants only need to be watered as often as once per week.

So for example if you water the Lantana plant on Saturday you should only need to water the Lantana plant again on the next Saturday.

Or when the soil becomes dry you can add a little water to the soil of the Lantana plant before then.

But once per week of a good watering until the soil is wet is usually enough to keep the Lantana plant thriving.

All parts of the Lantana plant are poisonous but if you or a dog or cat ingests the leaves of the Lantana Plant then you can get more serious poisoning.

If Lantana Plant leaves are accidentally consumed then you need to get to the emergency room for treatment as it can be deadly in both humans and animals.

Never let a baby or toddler play with the Lantana Plant and never let them try to put the leaves or any part of the plant in their mouths as it can be deadly.

Also keep dogs away from the Lantana Plant as all parts of the Lantana Plant are toxic to both dogs, cats and even humans.

Some Lantana plants do come back every year and some don't as it depends on the Lantana Plant.

I've had some Lantana Plants that came back every year and others they didn't come back and I had to plant new Lantana Plants.

Also Lantana Plants usually die to the ground usually following a killing frost and at that point you can cut off the old foliage and mulch them for the winter.

If your Lantana plants are planted in pots then be sure to bring them inside away from the frost otherwise the frost could kill your Lantana Plant.

If you do bring your Lantana Plant in before the frost and keep them inside most of the winter then they may stay blooming all winter.
