Chime bank accounts are FDIC insured just like your money is FDIC insured at a regular bank with a physical location.
When you deposit money into your Chime Bank Account the Chime FDIC Insurance insures up to $250,000.00 for each Chime Account.
Most people unless they are really rich would never even have $250,000.00 in a Chime bank account or any other bank account so the FDIC insurance of $250,000.00 per bank account is sufficient enough.
If you have $250,000.00 or less in your Chime Account and the Chime Bank happened to go out of business or lose your money then you would get paid back through the FDIC Insurance.
Or if you had your money stolen but you reported your Chime Card as lost or stolen then you should also get your money back through the FDIC.
If you do lose or have your Chime Debit Card Stolen you need to report it lost or stolen so that you can get a new Chime Card and you will be protected in the event someone steals your money.
You can get a new replacement chime card either through the chime app or through customer service or on their website.
If you have the Chime App on your phone or other device you can tap on the replace my card button in the card settings of your chime app.
Then in the chime app it will ask you if your chime card was Lost, Stolen, or Damaged and then you select which one that happened to your card.
Then follow the rest of the instructions and within a week or so the new replacement chime card will be mailed to you.
You should get the new chime card in the mail within 7 to 10 days but sometimes they come sooner.
You can also call chime customer service and request a new replacement chime card through the phone by calling them.
Call Chime at the Chime Customer Service number which is 1-844-244-6363 and press 3.
At the voice prompt, confirm if your card was lost or stolen.
Enter your nine (9)-digit social security number.
And follow the rest of the instructions and you should get a new chime card.
