Once you get macular degeneration you sadly cannot reverse the macular degeneration once you get it.

However doctors can help slow the progression of the macular degeneration but there's no cure for the macular degeneration and it will likely get worse overtime.

Aged related macular degeneration usually leads to loss of vision, especially in the central part of the vision and only the progression of the macular degeneration can be slowed but cannot be stopped or reversed.

Surgery for macular degeneration is also another option to help with the vision loss but after diagnoses of the macular degeneration it usually takes around 10 years to become legally blind from the macular degeneration.

Some people only go partially blind from macular degeneration while other people do go completely blind within 10 years to 12 years of macular degeneration.
