The Fornix of the eye is the conjunctiva Which is the loose soft tissue that is lying at the junction between the palpebral conjunctiva (covering the inner surface of the eyelid) and the bulbar conjunctiva (covering the globe).

Each eye has two fornices.

The fornices are the superior and the inferior fornices.

The Fornix of the eye is also very important to the eyes and the purpose of the Fornix of the eye is to allow the freedom of movement of the eyelids.

Without the Fornix of the eye the eyelids would not be able to move.
