If the cake stain is fresh and hasn't set in too long then using Tide To Go can usually get cake stains out of clothing.

But if the cake stain has set in you may need to use vinegar and baking soda to get the cake stain out of the clothing.

You can also soak the clothing in some vinegar and baking soda as well as some laundry detergent overnight and the cake stain should easily come out the next morning in the wash.

That is what I do for cake stains in clothing and it has always worked for me.

Tide to go is a wonderful product and does work on fresh stains but when it comes to old stains Tide To Go cannot and does not do a good job at getting old stains out of clothing.

The Tide To Go is meant to get fresh stains out of the clothes when they happen and not meant to remove any stains that are old and set in.

You can use vinegar and baking soda to get most old stains out of clothing.

Take some vinegar and saturate the stain in vinegar and then rub the stained spot with a paste made from equal parts vinegar and baking soda.

Then if the stain is being stubborn to come out you can also add a couple of tablespoons each of vinegar and laundry detergent to a bucket of water and soak the garment overnight if the stain does not come out.

Then wash the clothing in the washing machine and the stain should come out.
