Yes pacifier wipes do kill germs and bacteria that can be on pacifiers.

So the pacifier wipes are handy to have around especially when you have no other way to disinfect a pacifier before giving it back to your baby.

The pacifier wipes use non toxic cleaning agents in them that is safe for your baby so you can wipe the pacifier and give them back the pacifier after wiping it.

But if you're at home it would be best to also use boiling water to clean and disinfect the pacifier and the same goes for baby bottle nipples.

The boiling water kills the germs and bacteria as well as viruses that may be on the pacifier nipple or baby bottle nipple.

Pacifiers will not melt in boiling water as long as you don't leave the pacifier in the boiling water for too long.

When using boiling water to clean and sterilize a pacifier you get the water up to a boiling temperature and then place the pacifier into the boiling water for 5 minutes.

If you leave the pacifier in the boiling water for longer than 5 minutes then it can begin to melt which has happened to me.

But as long as you watch the pacifier in the boiling water and remove it within 5 minutes then the pacifier should be just fine.

I use a pair of tongs or at least I did when my kids were using pacifiers and would use the metal tongs to dip the pacifier in the boiling water and then use the tongs to pull the pacifier back out of the boiling water.

I did this for baby bottle nipples as well especially when my kids were sick with the flu or cold as the pacifiers and bottle nipples would have germs and possible viruses on them so using boiling water kills the germs and bacteria.
