Some bank teller jobs are flexible and allow you to work flexible hours.

However for most bank teller jobs you will just work traditional business hours such as 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM which is 9 hours.

It depends on the banks hours and if you're working at a bank in a smaller town then you may not do as much work but if you're working in a bank in a larger city or town then you may be working a lot more.

Being a bank teller can be a good job but can also be very demanding as well.

Getting a bank teller job is not the easiest when it comes to jobs to get hired for.

But it's not all that hard either.

You need a high school diploma or GED and need to be good at math and usually you can get hired as a bank teller and then you have at least 1 month on the job training.

You need to be good at counting money and making the deposits correctly and also be able to count out cash to people coming into the bank who are withdrawing the money from their checking or savings accounts.

You also need to be able to deposit checks and work with the banks computer system which you can usually get trained for once you get hired on.

If you're having trouble getting hired as a bank teller maybe see if a bank will let you intern as a teller and get some on the job training and then they may eventually hire you once they know you have the skills to be a bank teller.

That's how I got hired as a bank teller at a small bank.

I went in and asked them if I could intern and then they got back with me a few weeks later and said yes and then eventually they hired me full time as a bank teller.

I worked there until I found a higher paying job.

Not all banks will let you intern but just keep calling around or walk into the bank and ask.
