A properly hydrated and healthy 2 year old child whether it be a boy or girl usually goes through 3 to 5 diapers per day.

All 2 year olds are different and it depends on how much they drink and how often they pee.

But the average 2 year old should have at least 3 to 4 wet diapers everyday and at least one poop diaper per day or per week.

Some 2 year olds may only have 2 wet diapers per day which is normal but some 2 year olds pee more often.

But as long as your 2 year old has at least 1 wet diaper in an 8 hour period and the diaper is soaking wet then they are usually hydrated enough.

If the 2 year old goes without 1 wet diaper in 8 hours then they are dehydrated and need to have their fluid intake increased or take the child to a doctor or urgent care.

My 2 year old son would sometimes have only 1 soaking wet diaper per day on days when he wasn't drinking too much while other times when he drank more liquids he would have 2 or 3 wet diapers per day.
