If you don't have a glue gun and need to use hot glue sticks to glue something together you can use a blow torch to heat the glue stick up and then use the melted glue on the stuff you're gluing together.

You can also use a glue stick on the stove or melt the glue in something such as an old tin can on the stove and then use something to pour the melted glue on whatever it is you're gluing together.

However I would highly recommend just purchasing a cheap glue gun as they are not very expensive.

I've bought glue guns for as little as $2.00 before at discount stores.

You can also buy glue guns online cheap such as through ebay.

Using a glue gun stick without a glue gun can be challenging, as the stick requires heat to melt and adhere properly. However, if you're in a situation where you don't have access to a glue gun, you can try the following alternative methods:

  1. Candle or Lighter Method: Take a candle or a lighter and carefully melt the end of the glue stick over the flame. Be cautious not to burn yourself or the surrounding objects. Once the glue stick is partially melted, quickly apply the molten glue to the desired surface and press the objects together firmly until the glue cools and solidifies.

  2. Stove or Hot Plate Method: If you have access to a stove or a hot plate, place a small heat-resistant container (such as a metal or ceramic dish) on the heat source. Put the glue stick inside the container and allow it to melt slowly. Once melted, use a popsicle stick or any other suitable tool to apply the molten glue to the surface you wish to bond.

  3. Hairdryer Method: This method requires a hairdryer with a high heat setting. Cut or break off a small piece of the glue stick and hold it with a pair of pliers or a heat-resistant tool. Direct the hot air from the hairdryer onto the glue stick until it melts. Be cautious while handling the molten glue and quickly apply it to the desired surface before it cools down.

Remember to exercise caution when working with hot materials, and always prioritize your safety. These alternative methods may not provide the same level of effectiveness or durability as using a glue gun, but they can be used in a pinch when a glue gun is not available.
