If you have a 6 year old child or any other child that is misbehaving and not listening to your orders and doing what they are told then you need to be very stern with them and tell them that they need to listen or you're gonna spank them.
Do not laugh or smile when you tell them what to do otherwise the child may not take you seriously and always follow through with what you're gonna do.
I've spanked my children at 6 years old and earlier as well and although they said at the time they hated me they still love me.
If I hadn't spanked the children they would likely be way out of control and may actually wind up in prison.
Spanking is not abuse when done right and if you've tried other things such as timeouts, grounding, taking things away that they love then spanking can be a good thing to get your child to actually listen to you.
If a 6 year old child is not listening and obeying their parents you need to put the 6 year old in timeout and if the 6 year old refuses to stay in timeout you need to spank them to get them to listen.
Spanking does work to get children to behave as they hate having their bottom spanked as it hurts and it's not child abuse when done correctly.
I was spanked with a belt as a child and I still love my parents and am glad they spanked me to make me behave.
Taking things away from the 6 year old child can also sometimes work but sometimes if the child really is not listening and disobeying the parents spanking is needed to get the child to listen and do what they are told to do.
You should never let the child do what they want because it makes the child know they they are in control and as they get older it will be harder to control them.
So let them know who is boss and spank them when needed.
