Is there an age limit to getting a 30 year mortgage?

I'm 40 years old and looking into getting a 30 year mortgage to buy my own home since I'm tired of renting and dealing with landlords and their rules.

I'd be 70 years old by the time I paid off my 30 year mortgage on the home.

Is 40 too old to get a 30 year mortgage and do banks have an age limit to getting a 30 year mortgage?

As long as you make enough income to afford the payments and have enough money for a down payment on the home mortgage you can sign up and get approved for a mortgage at 90 years old.

Banks are not allowed to discriminate against people.

You can also pay down the 30 year mortgage a lot sooner than 30 years if you can afford the extra money to do so.
