Treating foul smelling urine can sometimes be done at home or sometimes treatment for foul smelling urine requires medical treatment by a doctor.

It all depends on what is causing the foil smelling urine.

If the foul smelling urine is in a female and they have a UTI that is causing the foul smelling urine then you can usually treat foul smelling urine in woman by adding one or two cups of apple cider vinegar to a warm bath.

Then soak in the warm bath for around 30 minutes and do that every few days and the Urinary Tract Infection usually clears up.

If not you may need antibiotics and if it's a man who has a Urinary Tract Infection then they may need antibiotics as well.

Sometimes a Urinary Tract Infection clears up on it's own but other times you may need medical treatment.

Foul smelling urine can be caused by a number of different things.

Some things that can cause foul smelling urine are overactive bladder, bladder infection, urinary tract infection and even some foods such as asparagus can cause your urine to have a foul smell to it.

If you're a woman you may have bacteria in your vagina that could be causing the foul smelling urine so if the foul smelling urine doesn't go away within a few days to a week then I would recommend going to the doctor and getting tested to find out the exact cause of the foul smelling urine.

If the foul smelling urine goes away within a week then it's likely just something you ate or something less serious.

Urinary tract infections are the most common cause of foul smelling urine which can sometimes make your urine smell more like fish.
