Most credit card companies do not allow you to defer payments on the credit card unless you've been with them for at least 5 years or longer and have not missed any payments.
Also if you've been with the credit card company for at least 5 years or longer and have not missed a payment the credit card company may allow you to skip a payment for a month.
But you would have to contact your credit card company directly to be sure that they will allow you to defer credit card payments or skip a payment.
Some credit card companies do allow you to defer payments and some do not.
It's all up to the individual credit card company.
