I used to put Vicks in my nose and I had some in my nose when I went to the doctors one day and the doctor asked me if that was Vicks in my nose.
He advised me not to put Vicks in my nose or on my nostrils because I could accidentally ingest it through my nose and it could cause health issues.
He said that the vicks may help to keep viruses out of my nose but the virus could still get into my body through my mouth if I touched my mouth with my hands.
So the vicks in the nose is not a good idea.
If you need to use some Vicks to help you breathe just put it below the nose and not on your nostrils directly.
Or put some vicks on your chest and you can then breathe that in and that will help with congestion as well or breathe in some vicks directly from the container which is what I do sometimes and I used to do that in school as well.
