Yes a child's development can sometimes be affected in a negative way when the child is uprooted and moved too often.
It can be hard and stressful on the child especially if they are school aged and are going to school and making friends and are used to the school they are currently attending then when they have to move and make new friends it can be hard on them.
Some children will even fight the move even though they have to move along with the parents when the parents need to move.
So if you have a child or children and need to move then do so but if you don't really need to move then it's probably best if possible to just stay where you are for at least a few years.
When you do decide to move don't let it on the child suddenly but let them know months ahead of time so that the child or children can prepare for the move.
