If you hit your elbow and you get a shocking or tingling feeling from the elbow being hit then you most likely have hit what they call the funny bone.

The funny bone is not really a bone but instead the funny bone is a nerve and when you hit that nerve it leads to the shock feeling or tingling feeling.

It's not dangerous to hit the funny bone but it feels very odd and I've done it several times as a kid and only a few times as an adult.

I never thought it was funny until after the the pain had went away.

The funny bone nerve is really close to the skin so it makes it easy to hit the nerve which causes the tingling and shocking feeling.
