The Coronavirus is similar to the flu and you should not test positive for the coronavirus when you have the regular flu.
The Coronavirus in the USA is very rare and mostly comes from China.
If you haven't been to China or don't plan to go to China anytime soon then you're unlikely to get the Coronavirus.
You can get a blood test to test for the strain of the flu you have and too see if you've been effected by the Coronavirus.
But the blood test or swab test of the nose or mouth should not give any false results so the flu test should not be confused with the Coronavirus test.
