The size of breaker that is needed for an electric range is 40 AMPS with the use of 8 gauge electrical wire.
If you use a 50 AMP electric breaker then you'll need 6 gauge electrical wire.
But my electric range has a 40 AMP electric breaker along with 8 gauge wire.
So just make sure you have at least a 40 AMP breaker and use at least 8 gauge wire for the electrical circuit for the electric range and you'll be fine.
