Corn syrup can help soothe the sore throat because the corn syrup will coat the sore throat so that it makes it feel better.

The corn syrup won't heal the sore throat or make it go away any faster but if you're suffering from a sore throat then taking a spoonful of corn syrup can help.

I have used corn syrup for my sore throat before when I had no other way to soothe the sore throat and it helped me feel better.

I would also recommend eating some Ramen Noodles as the broth is also very soothing and the noodles are very easy to eat when you have a sore throat.

Maple syrup can also help with a sore throat and gargling with some salt water or apple cider vinegar or even taking a spoonful of apple cider vinegar can help with the sore throat.

The apple cider vinegar is antibacterial so it can kill the bacteria causing the sore throat.
