Is fibromyalgia inherited?

The condition fibromyalgia is not considered to be inherited but according to medical research fibromyalgia tends to tun in families so if your mom or dad has or had fibromyalgia and then you get it later on in life it could be that you inherited the fibromyalgia from them.

But then again you might just have developed the condition.

There's no way to know for sure though.

Parents may pass on genes from themselves to their kids though that can make them more sensitive to pain than they would be if they haven't had those genes passed on to them.

Fibromyalgia is most often triggered by a stressful event, including physical stress or emotional (psychological) stress.
