Black ice is very dangerous to drive on and actually black ice is considered to be more dangerous than regular ice on the roads.
The reason black ice is more dangerous to drive on is that with black ice it blends in with the rest of the pavement so that it's hard to tell it's there.
Your vehicle could slide off the roadway before you even know that you're coming up on black ice.
So you cannot really see black ice on the roadway because black ice is just ice on the roadway which is clear and transparent.
The black ice is just a thinner layer of ice that looks just like the regular pavement does so there's no way to see or tell if there is black ice.
Black ice basically occurs without any bubbles in it and you can't really see it until it's too late.
