Black Ice is just regular ice just like the regular thicker ice that happens on the roadways.

But the difference between ice and black ice is that the black ice is a thinner ice layer that is harder for it be seen on the roadway.

The black ice is not actually black but it's called black ice because it's so thin that it looks just like the roadway.

Black is is just as dangerous as driving on regular ice because it's very slippery and you cannot really see it.

So you could think that the roadway is very clear of ice but then there could be a small spot of black ice in the roadway that can cause you to slide off the road.

So during icy conditions you need to be very cautious and if you don't need to be on the road during icy or snowy conditions it's best to stay home and off the roadway.
