For every inch of snow that falls over 1 acre of land there are around 2,715 gallons of water.

So if 1 foot of snow fell over 1 acre and there's 2,715 gallons of water in 1 inch of snow then you would have 32,580 gallons of water in 1 foot of snow over 1 acre of land.

If you have 5 acres of land that 1 foot of snow fell over then you would take 32,580 and multiply it by 5 which would get you 162,900 gallons of water.

So for all the snow that falls over the land you get billions of gallons of water once all that snow melts.

So we actually will never run out of water because water is naturally replaced and renewed so there's no real way to waste any water.

You might run your water bill up but you won't actually waste water.
