A different shower head can make it seem like your shower has more pressure but in reality the pressure is the same.

Although with smaller holes in the shower head the water has more resistance and then it makes it seem like you get more water pressure out of your shower head.

So if you're experiencing low water pressure in your show then installing a lower GPM shower head can increase the pressure coming out of the shower so you get a better spray from the shower.

But to actually increase the water pressure you need more pressure coming into your house through the pipes.

If the water pressure is not increased at your meter or water line then the pressure inside your house and your shower will actually be the same regardless if you change to a different shower head or not.
