Regular Medicare will not help pay for assisted living but if you have Medicare Advantage it will usually pay for at least some of the assisted living expenses.

Medicare however will sometimes pay for a regular nursing home facility stay and care but not always.

You'd have to actually speak with the patients Medicare people about it to be sure if they are gonna cover the nursing home or assisted living facility.

Assisted living and nursing home care is very expensive and sometimes you need to pay out of pocket by selling off things that the patient owns such as home, car etc.

But then again some other health insurance pays for the assisted living or Nursing home.

It just depends on what the patient is covered with for health insurance.
