Putting copper wire on roof to prevent moss?

I have moss growing on my roof if I put copper wire on my roof will it help prevent the moss growing on my roof?

Yes copper wire will kill moss and prevent it from growing on your roof.

Be aware though with copper thieves they might come by and try to steal the copper from your house.

Put the copper wire or copper strips you can buy at home improvement stores around where the moss is growing.
