How long can you go without paying property taxes?

The length of time you can go without paying property taxes on your home depends on the state you're in.

Some places you can go 2 years without paying your real estate property taxes on residential properties and then in some places you can go as long as 3 years without paying the property taxes before you have a tax foreclosure done on your property.

Then if you fail to pay the full amount of property taxes owed you are forced to move out and the house and property goes up for sale at a tax auction.

In my area it's 3 years on Residential property and on Vacant land it's 2 years.
