Property taxes are assessed sometimes every year and sometimes only every 5 to 6 years depending on the state and how much workload they have.
If your house is more of value then your house and property may be assessed yearly and if your house is an older house that is not of much value then the taxes on the property may only be assessed every 5 to 6 years.
Sometimes a house or property will be assessed even without the tax assessor coming out and the most a tax assessor comes out around my place and town is every 5 years.
The taxes for my house though do change every 1 to 2 years and sometimes the property taxes goes up and sometimes the property taxes go down some.
