After you have a heart catheter put in you should be able to be back on your feet and walking around within 6 hours after the procedure.

But you should still take it easy for at least a month after the heart catheter is put in.

Full recovery from the heart catheter procedure can vary from person to person but usually most people fully recover from the heart catheterization within a week or two.

But some people may take a month to get back to what they were doing before.

Just take it easy until you feel up to doing your normal activities.

Also have someone available to drive you home from the hospital after you had a heart catheter inserted as the hospital will usually require you for safety reasons to have someone drive you home.
