Can right shoulder pain indicate heart attack?

Right shoulder pain usually indicates muscle or tendon damage.

Sometimes right shoulder pain could be caused by overuse or strain of the shoulder muscles and then you get the pain which should go away within a day or so.

But sometimes right shoulder pain or even left shoulder pain can indicate a heart attack and if you're having a heart attack or think you or someone is about to have a heart attack call 911 because it is a medical emergency.

Some signs and symptoms of a heart attack are.

Pressure, tightness, pain, or a squeezing or aching sensation in your chest or arms that may spread to your neck, jaw or back.

Chest pain that gets tighter and worse.

Nausea, indigestion, heartburn or abdominal pain.

Shortness of breath, cold sweats, Fatigue and Lightheadedness or sudden dizziness.
