Dystonia does affect some of the muscles but the heart muscle is not affected by Dystonia.

However while Dystonia does not affect the heart itself Dystonia can cause breathing problems.

Dystonia is a movement disorder in which a person's muscles contract uncontrollably.

The contraction of the persons muscles causes the affected body part to twist involuntarily, resulting in repetitive movements or abnormal postures.

Dystonia can affect one muscle, a muscle group, or the entire body.

There are Treatments for Dystonia but Dystonia cannot be cured so once you get Dystonia you will have it for life.
