How long does a landlord have to fix something?

When you request that a landlord fix something the landlord has at least 14 days to fix something and if the landlord doesn't get the problem with the apartment or home fixed after 14 days then you can sue the landlord to have them fix it.

Sometimes it may take a bit longer to get some things fixed than just 14 days but if the problem is a more simple problem then 14 days is reasonable enough.

A good landlord will get things fixed within the 14 day time period and if not you can take them to court to fix the problem if the problem is serious enough.

But if not then I wouldn't bother with court.

Still continue to pay the rent on time but if they still fail to fix the issue then you can take them to court and sue them and possibly get part of your rent back.
