Gum disease in dogs can become fatal if left untreated.

But sometimes dogs will live a long life with gum disease even without treatment but if you can get the dogs gum disease treated that would be best.

Because if left untreated the dogs gum disease can lead to other diseases and infect the blood and then lead to heart issues which then leads to death.

I've had a dog that had gum disease that came from a tooth infection and I sadly could not afford to get the gum disease and tooth infection treated.

So the dog died but he was 9 years old so it wasn't so bad but I still miss him and wished I could have taken him to the Vet.
