Most 1 year olds can speak a little bit but they won't be speaking too good until 3 or 4 years of age.
Babies usually begin speaking little words at around 10 to 14 months of age and as early as 10 months the baby can learn words such as mamma and dada.
A one year old baby should be saying between 1 and 3 words and the older they get and the more they learn to speak they will then begin speaking more words as they learn those words.
