If there is animal control in your area and your town has noise ordinances against dog barking too much then yes eventually the animal control can be sent out to take your dog away.
The town can take you to municipal court and if you fail to control the barking dog and keep them quiet during certain hours such as at night when people are sleeping then the animal control can come to take your dog away from you.
They can also fine you and even some places they can put you the owner of the dog in jail for violating the city ordinance.
If you have a dog that is barking at night outside you need to bring the dog in so that they are quiet so people can sleep.
