No trichomoniasis is not a serious condition and is not life threatening and some people who do get infected with trichomoniasis may not even experience symptoms.

You might also have trichomoniasis for years and not even know it but if you do get it you should see a doctor and get treatment to cure it and make it go away.

The condition trichomoniasis can be caused by poor hygiene as well as diabetes, concurrent infection by other pathogens, and certain drugs which can lead to irritation of the genital membranes and create a more favorable environment for trichomoniasis to thrive.

Trich cannot be spread from contact with toilet seats or things such as sharing food or drinks, kissing, hugging, holding hands, coughing, sneezing etc.

Some people who are infected with Trich may not even experience any symptoms but then they can still spread the Trich to others.

Trichomoniasis is caused by a parasite called Trichomonas vaginalis that can live in semen or vaginal fluids and is spread through unprotected anal, oral, or vaginal sex, usually between a man and a woman or between two women.
