ER or emergency room doctors earn on average of $270,000.00 per year and work an average of 46 hours per week.

A lot of ER doctors have had a pay cut due to the hospitals losing money even though hospitals see a lot of patients per day sometimes they don't get paid for all the emergencies and care they provide to the patients.

Being an ER doctor is very stressful and demanding although as my aunt says it's better than sitting around in an office and she loves caring for and treating patients.

Some ER doctors may need to work overtime if the hospital gets backed up and you get some more pay but not enough for all the work you do.

ER doctors though will be in demand for many years to come as long as we humans exist so it's a good career to get into.
