The inventor of school or at least the man behind the idea of school as we know it today came from a man known as Horace Mann.
The first school was said to have started in the year 1635 which provided kids with an education which we all do need to make it in this world.
In the year 1852 it became a law and mandatory to go to school or send your kids to school to make sure they have an education.
The state of Massachusetts became the first U.S. state to enact a compulsory education law which made it illegal to not go to school.
Parents can be arrested for not sending their kids to school and the student can go to jail as well for not attending school.
Without a high school education and high school diploma or GED it can be hard to get hired on jobs or get accepted into college.
