Yes trichotillomania is considered to be an anxiety disorder and although it cannot be cured therapy can help control the urges when it comes to pulling of hair.

The percentage of the population that has trichotillomania is only 2 percent which is not all that many people.

Well then again since there are billions of people those 2 percent of the population would be quite a bit of people if I think about it.

Still it's not very common for people to have the trichotillomania condition which is a hair pulling disorder and a mental disorder classified under Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders and involves recurrent, irresistible urges to pull hair from the scalp, eyebrows, eyelids, and other areas of the body, despite repeated.

Therapy can help some when it comes to a person who has this condition but the condition of trichotillomania cannot be cured.
